Can you recall the Presidential elections in 2000?George Bush was asked the names of various world leaders.It was clear that he did not know. It was also a warning that this man lacked any knowledge of the outside world.In fact, he had travelled very little outside of the USA.

This is man who was campaining for a job that was beyond his skills/abilities.That was a taste of things to come. He is no fool, but he lacks the knowledge and intelligence that this job requires.Think Steve McLaren being appointed as England manager.He just lacked the tools to do the job. Events in Iraq and Afghanistan have proved that. Hurricane Katrina and Guantanamo Bay confirmed it.

Watching the Sarah Palin, the Governor of Alaska being interviewed on US TV gave me the sense of de ja vu. She was asked about the Bush Doctrine and you could see that rabbit caught in the headlights look. It was pure panic. Once again, someone seeks high office despite the fact that she is clearly not qualified to perform this role.She has admitted that she has hardly been outside the USA.This from a woman who will be a hearbeat away from the Oval Office.

She may be pretty with good sound bites, but Mrs Palin is way out of her depth.Don't forget that should John McCain die or become incapacitated, Governor Palin will take over as President.Scary thought!
